Southland Tales Synopse:

Los Angeles 2008. Die Zukunft ist ein Alptraum, aus dem es kein Erwachen gibt: Unter der Kontrolle der allmächtigen amerikanischen Sicherheitsbehörde US-Ident gerät die Millionenstadt in nur drei Tagen an den Rand des gesellschaftlichen, wirtschaftlichen und ökologischen Zusammenbruchs. Im Southland von Los Angeles bekämpfen brutale Cops und rücksichtslose Terroristen einander bis aufs Blut. In dieser bedrohlichen Lage überschneiden sich die Schicksalsfäden von Boxer Santaros (Dwayne Johnson), einem Actionstar ohne Erinnerungen, mit denen des Pornostars Krysta Now (Sarah Michelle Gellar), die an einem eigenen Reality-TV-Projekt arbeitet, und des Polizisten Roland Taverner (Seann William Scott), der den Schlüssel zu einer weit reichenden Verschwörung besitzt.
